Many patients who want to have lasik eye surgery need to see the professional surgeon before have this surgery. So I think you'd better go to hospital first. I know that many people are not a good candidate for lasik eye surgery, such as pregnant women, they can't have this kind of surgery for the instable hormone in their body. Hormone can affect our visions. So the candidate must have stable hormone then he or she can apply for this surgery.

A good candidate for lasik must have healthy conditions. Certain diseases such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis will make patients a poor candidate, because such kind of disease will influence postoperative healing. And if you are too old or too young, you can't have lasik eye surgery too. Doctor said that the patients that are under 18 are rarely stable enough for LASIK. Older patients will develop cataracts or other kinds of eye health issues, so they are not good candidate too.
