Since I was a child, my mom always told me the reason my eyelashes hurt are because some of your eyelashes are growing straight. So the older I got, I learned to look at my eyelashes close and pull the ones that are growing straight. They quit hurting instantly. Moreover, I am wondering whether you wear makeups. It maybe because of mascara or the eyelash curlers. Try cleaning everything off you put on it and put some Vaseline on them, and brush them down with a toothbrush and then put a little water on them afterward. If it does not help you, you need to go the doctor.

The pain of eyelashes can be the symptom of some eye conditions such as eyelid infections, blocked oil glands and the problem of eyelash growth. Besides, eye style can also be the cause of the pain of eyelashes. Your eyelashes hurt may be because that some of your eyelashes are growing straight. In this case, you can just pull the ones that are growing straight and the painful sensation will disappear. There are some ways to get rid of the pain. For the infection, you can relieve the condition by keeping clean and using some over-the-counter antibiotics ointment. If it is due to the blockage of oil glands, you can put warm compresses over your eyelids. If the cause is eye style, you can gently clean your eyelids with tap water or baby shampoo. Over-the-counter ointments can also be used.

If you usually wear eyelash extensions, then it may be the eyelash glue which you use to stick the eyelash extensions to your real eyelashes that irritates your own real eyelashes, especially when you do not completely clean the glue when you take off the eyelash extensions. Also, if you usually wear mascara, then it may as well irritate your eyelashes because ther many chemicals contained in the mascara. Another potential cause can be meibomian glands, which is a kind of mucosa infection. In this case, you can apply warm water bags on your closed eyes to reduce the pain. And use some antibiotic eye drops into your eyes. But you still had better go to the doctors' for an examination to find out the exact cause of your eyelash pain, in case of more serious conditions.
