Well, first is how poor vision you are. If you are strong prescription, laser surgery is a good choice. However every surgery has its own risk. Besides, a fail laser surgery has many complications, such as double vision, dry eyes, fluctuating vision etc. And those side effects which you should think over. As far as I concerned, if you prescription is moderate, you can try contact lens and frame glasses. Of course, both glasses have its own weakness. As we know, wearing frame glasses for too long, your eyes may be out of shape. And wearing contact lens inappropriately will increase the risk of develping eye diseases. So I suggest you change them from time to time.

If you have poor vision because of myopia, you could get through the good habit of using your eyes, good rest and healthy diet to improve your vision. Actually the laser eye surgery could cure your myopia which could make your eyes get healthy and see things clearly. However not everyone is suitable to take such surgery. Thus it may not be the best option for everyone.

Laser eye surgery has both advantages and disadvantages. After you have undergone laser eye surgery, your vision will be improved and glasses or contact lenses are not needed. This will also give you a good appearance. Laser surgery can correct myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism of all levels. The procedure of the surgery is very short (usually 10 minutes) and is painless. Since the surgery is controlled by a computer, it is highly precise and accurate. However, laser eye surgery has disadvantages. The result of the surgery depends on the condition of the patients. To some extent, the laser surgery will worsen your vision, for example night vision. If the patient has dry eyes, the surgery may deteriorate the condition. Before you receive eye surgery, you should communicate with an ophthalmologist on which kind of surgery is suitable for you.
