Can blind people have normal looking eyes?

  Whether blind people have normal looking eyes depends on the cause of blindness and on what age they became blind. If an adult is born blind, which means their blindness is caused by genes from their parents, the color of their iris will quite normal and their eyes are no different from the normal people. Some people became blind because of accidents. Their eyes may look darker due to the pupil distortion from the accident. Injuries can also make the pupil smaller, which gives the affected eye a paler tone. People who being blinded in accidents may have changed eye shapes. If people turn blind because of cataracts, their eye will look cloudy and paler. However, most blind people have normal looking eyes.

  Actually most of the blind people will have the normal looking eyes as common people. You will find no difference at the looking of the eyes between normal people and blind people. However, blind people will have no lights at the surface of the eyes because of no reflection from the inner eyes. However some people who get blind in the accident may have the difference at the looking of the eyes.

  It depends on the cause that leads to the blindness. If the blindness is caused by some trauma in the eyes such as cut or wound, then the eyes will not be the same as those of the normal people. In the case of blind people due to the injury or disease in the optical nerves the cerebrum optic center, the the eyes of the blind people will appear as if normal. However, due to the blindness, the eyes of the blind people cannot present spirit and seem lifeless. The eyes of blind people usually leave impression as confused, blunt and empty eye look. The expression in their eyes are straight without spirit because they cannot see things so that they do not know what to look.
