I do not suggest you do the measure of pupillary distance by yourself which will not be exact. You'd better go to the eyeglasses store to have a check. Now it is the scientific machine that helps you do the check on your pupillary distance which will be exact. You could also go to the real store to have a look to see whether there is the discount which you could buy the cheap and suitable prescription eyeglasses.

Yes, you can do it yourself at home. Here are the steps your need to take: 1.You need a millimeter ruler. Put it on the bridge of your nose. The left side of the ruler should begins at the center of your left pupil, and the right side on the right pupil center. 2. You can have your friend to measure for you or measure it yourself from the mirror. 3. Repeat the measurement for three times and calculate for the average value.

From my point of view, buying a pair of prescription eyeglasses bears similarity to buying shoes. It must be appropriate for yourself, such as comfortable, economica and the like. Besides, it will not cost to much in the physical store to buy a pair of prescription eyeglasses comparing to online store. The physical store has professional equipment for measuring eyes degree, thus that saves plenty of troubles.
