  Conjunctivitis, better known as pink eye, is an inflammation of the conjunctiva. The conjunctiva is the thin clear tissue that lies over the white part of the eye and lines the inside of the eyelid. The individual who gets pink eye may suffer redness, eye pain,itchy eyes, burning eyes and blurry eyes. It’s really unwell. However, the causes of pink eye are much more than its symptoms. Virtues, bacteria and allergies are the most common causes of pink eye. Allergies included dust, pollen, or a special type of allergy that affects some contact lens wearers. Now your question has a clear answer that cats give you pink eye indeed. Cats are one of allergies. Most people are allergic to cats because cats have poor hygiene which can enter your eyes through hands. So every time you hug your cats, please wash your hands clean.   Yes, it really can happen. Pink eye is the acute inflammation of the conjunctivia, which is the clear transparent membrane covering on eyes and inside of eyelids. Normally there are three main type conjunctivitis, bacterial or viral infection or allergic reaction. If you get conjunctivits because of cats, then it probably is caused by allergy. There are many people who are allergic the dander of pets, like dogs and cats. The allergic reaction might cause conjunctivits. People might have red and watery eyes with increased sensitivity to light. If it really happens, you should get out of touch with possible allergens as soon as possible. For bacterial or viral infection, it takes days or weeks to clear out. But as to allergic conjunctivitis, as long as if you are away from the allergens, you can have these symptoms clear out very soon. Flush your eyes with light salt water.
