There are many side effects of high blood pressure. There is no direct link between high blood pressure and itchy eyes. But as it has many side effects on eyes, there is a possibility that it can result in itchy eyes somehow, after all high blood pressure is a systemic disease which might impact brain, heart, artery and kidney. High blood pressure might cause strain on the blood vessels. As blood vessels in eyes are too small to stand the pressure, it might get broken and hemorrhage in eyes would be resulted. It might cause fluid built up under the retina and damage the nerve cells. As high blood pressure would stiffen the artery and block the blood supply, with deficient nutrition, your eyes might get dry which can resulted in itching eyes. But in most cases, itchy eyes are caused by dryness or allergic reaction. To stop the itchiness, you should moisturize your eyes and wash them out of allergens.
