What is the jaundice effect on eyes?

I heard that jaundice can cause yellow eyes. Is this true? Why jaundice affect our eyes?

    Well, it is true that yellow eyes are symptoms of jaundice. Jaundice is not a serious disease but still kind of annoying which is often caused by a wide range of disease. More than 15 physical diseases can lead to jaundice, alcoholic liver disease, autoimmune hepatitis, chronic active hepatitis, just to mention a few of them. The side effects of jaundice to the eye include itchy eyes and yellow eyes. If unluckily getting jaundice, keep calm and diagnose the specifical cause of it and then have it treated. I am sure that yellow eyes will disappears as soon as jaundice is cured.
